Shaker-Inspired Kitchen Storage

When speaking of storing kitchen tools out in the open, I generally think of contemporary stainless steel like IKEA's Grundtal system. But take a look at this peg rail for kitchen storage, inspired by the Shakers:

A chair is shown hanging from this rail in much the same way the Shakers originally used it. But here we also see a kitchen cabinet and chalkboard hanging from pegs. I love this cohesive way of storage for the kitchen: the rail could go around the entire kitchen and provide a great deal of storage for all sorts of things! This idea comes from the British kitchen cabinet and tile manufacturer, Fired Earth.
