Sarah Becker describes her style as "animal and mineral meets sensual and cozy." Her 500-square-foot San Francisco studio apartment is filled with treasures and curiosities, but I was particularly drawn to the four floating shelves in her kitchen — a beautifully arranged collection of Sarah's handmade ceramics and favorite pieces.

The white floating shelves from IKEA are a great contrast to the dark wall, and a good example of open shelving that doesn't look cluttered. Yes, it may be more art than function, but what's wrong with that? We imagine most of her everyday dishes and cookware are hidden away in the other kitchen cabinets, which gives her leave to make this wall as decorative as she wants!
