• Sunday, December 10th at the Asian Art Museum, explore the Cuisines of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. Join Southeast Asian food expert Andrea Nguyen and Saveur Editor-in-Chief James Oseland in a lively discussion of the culinary traditions of Southeast Asia. In the program, moderated by Thy Tran, you’ll learn some of the history, essential ingredients, and cooking methods of these cuisines. Nguyen and Oseland will prepare dishes for tasting and sign copies of their new cookbooks, Cradle of Flavor(Oseland) and Into the Vietnamese Kitchen (Nguyen).

Menu includes: Crepes with Moroccan-flavored Seasonal Vegetables, Toasted Quinoa Salad with Slivered Almonds, Shiitake Mushroom & Walnut Pâté, Roasted Beets with Orange Vinaigrette and Pecan Balls. This is demonstration class includes tasting, recipes and coupons for local restaurants and grocers.

This demonstration will be led by CUESA's Market Chef, Shanti Wilson, and long-time volunteer and baker Keri Keifer. Samples provided. Bring your favorite cookie recipe featuring farmers' market ingredients and leave with a new set of recipes for the holiday season.
