Co-sponsored by Global Exchange and Co-op America, it’s a bit of a mixed bag of inspiring speakers, films, workshops and national organic companies hawking their wares. There’s always food to enjoy and not just from the national bigwigs, but also from small, local businesses and there will also be organic beer and wine, sustainable home products and the like.

• On Monday, November 13th author Heather C. Flores talks about her book, Food Not Lawns (Chelsea Green). I have always thought about the concept - Growing vegetables on lawns rather than the going through the overhaul of growing grass and mowing them and then growing them (has anybody thought that it was always a foolish man's act? I am glad to see the book. When are you coming this side. Looks like the kitchen has gone to the west coast since we have the rains here.
We cook here too you know. Try and grow herbs on the balcony. yes, they wither away but we do try. AT common give us a hand
