Having an herb garden in our kitchen is one of our favorite aspects of the space. We use fresh herbs in as many meals we prepare as possible and it's so refreshing and seriously convenient to get them fresh from our very own counter top! There are hundreds of herb pots on the market and we found a modern one we really like!

The stoneware watering pot has 3 separate compartments for fresh herbs, vegetables and even small flowers. Plant a different herb in each one of the compartments and watch them grow and last for weeks. To water the herbs, just pour water into the small opening on the side and each compartment will get ample water.
We love the shape, color and ease of the Sagaform Herb Pot Trio. The shape is super modern and is a great option for those who have streamlined kitchens and want something a little less rustic than most pots. The small watering hole on the side is extremely useful and eliminates the opportunity of spilled water and puddles under and around the pot.

YES! Love, love...but can anyone tell me how to keep the basil from drying up / rotting? I can only seem to keep the live basil fresh for a couple of days even with changing the water in the cup.
Fishgirl,
I'm assuming you are referring to keeping cut basil fresh (versus a live plant with roots in soil) - that's a whole different problem.
If you cover the basil in the cup of water with a plastic bag you might be able to get a couple more days than you are now. Basil really doesn't store well for long - one week at the maximum - so plan on using it in 2-3 days. Freeze whatever you can't use in oil.
Love that green backsplash! Gorgeous colour!
@Alex in DC--thanks for the info. I didn't realize basil wasn't supposed to last longer than a week! Also didn't know it could be frozen in oil. :)
What are you using for light on your counter?
Someone gave me one of these a while ago, and its in the box because I don't have enough light inside to grow herbs.
I just got one of theses as a gift and it looks wonderful. Do you put potting soil in through each of the openings and then plant an herb in each, or do you get an herb in a small plastic pot and insert it into each opening? Last year I had basil growing on my front porch from May until Sept (in Savannah, GA). I've since moved to a townhouse, so the herb pot will be great.
