Round dining tables are communal, inviting, and friendly in their shape. So why not take it a step further and think about round dining rooms? Of course, the shape necessitates a circular table, but it also encompasses its occupants in a hug of sorts. Here are three examples of round dining rooms.

I love this, for the same reason I love round dining tables - there's no clear "head" of the room/table, and everyone can see everyone else well from any part of the room. It just feels friendly to me.

I have a horseshoe-shaped dining room with glass block on the round wall: one-of-a-kind! It's pretty narrow & claustrophobic with the dining table & chairs & is rarely used. This Thanksgiving we had a bigger crowd & moved our dining out into the living room & stored the living room furniture in the DR. But after arranging it properly, we found that it's a really cozy & cute space, so we've kept the switch.

The first one is fabulous, the other two I'm not so into.
