Romantic Yet Simple Dinner With Fall Flavors?

Q: My boyfriend and I are both novice cooks at best, but he's coming to visit in a couple weeks, and I'd like to make a romantic dinner with him that's easy enough to make and incorporates fall flavors. The fewer the ingredients, the better!

Any ideas?
