We've been seeing roman shades popping up on a lot of kitchen windows lately. Thought we'd pull the inspiring ones together into one place to turn to if it's something you've been considering for your own kitchen. So, without further ado:
Roman shades are slightly structured and don't have a lot of extra volume or fluff for getting messy. This is what we think makes them so suitable for the kitchen. What do you say? Do you have roman shades or want them in your kitchen? What pros and cons come to mind?

Red-and-Pink-Stripe...

I put roman shades on my kitchen window, a small door window leading out to my patio and in the guest bathroom window. I did it because it was inexpensive and was on a limited budget. That was 7 years ago and they are still up because I love them. I bought mine for a song at World Market (Cost Plus) and they have held up beautifully!
We have one rather large window in our kitchen that faces our neighbor's house/garage. I made a large roman blind in a fun print and love them there. The only downside to such a big window, I leave the blinds about half open and on more than one occasion mid cooking dinner I catch our old neighbor peering in at me in my pajamas cooking dinner!
LOVE the freshness of the first pic. love it.
I have a roman blind on my kitchen window as well. I really love it. That first pic is gorgeous!
