We baked this delicious, moist coffee cake that's made with polenta, lavender flowers, sultanas soaked in brandy, and a honey-based glaze.
The recipe is taken from Essentials of Baking: Recipes and Techniques for Successful Home Baking and was very easy to make. The polenta adds a corny sweetness to the cake, and the brandy-soaked sultanas give some moisture to the corn-based cake. The topping of dried lavender flowers adds a herby, earthy bite to the cake. And it's very pretty!

What a tease! Here I thought we were getting the recipe, but, no, just a plug for a cookbook. Perhaps next time, title it Cookbook Recommendation.
I too found that irritating, but for future reference, it appears Williams Sonoma has posted the recipe to their website.
