Here's a quick and easy side dish that goes with many things. Sour cherries are found at Middle Eastern groceries and have a wonderfully tart and sweet flavor to them, and the pine nuts add texture along with an interesting flavor.
This recipe is so ridiculously easy. Just take your basic couscous recipe, add dried sour cherries and pine nuts, and there you have it.

I make something similar with dried cranberries and almonds or walnuts. I think any dried fruit and nut combo would work really well, and then there's no reason to order online or trek to a middle eastern store. Just buy some Craisins.
Couscous is a very friendly grain (or is it a small pasta???-whatever) in that it adapts itself well to almost any type of addition. I've done the dried fruit/nut combo in addition to fresh herbs, feta, tomatoes, etc. Go crazy!
Never had couscous but it looks good.
