Remember this reader question about using her gorgeous romanesco broccoli? Well, another reader sent us one more creative way to use that fractal-icious broccoli: Make it into a Christmas tree!
Reader Angela writes:
I discovered these gorgeous Romanesque cauliflowers at the Union Square Greenmarket and are using them as a Christmas centerpiece!
We never would have thought of this — Angela, that's so amazing!
And yes, that means you probably can't eat the broccoli, but hey — it may introduce your holiday guests to a brand new vegetable! And that's always a good thing.

cauliflower, not broccoli.
It goes by both. :)

Those are so nifty!
*love* broccolo romano- to eat~ and this is gorgeous, too!
I love this idea! If purchased as edible rather than from a florist...then it does double duty. As long as the stems sit on a bit of damp paper towel or atop a mound of shaved ice (snow) they'd still be great for dinner the following day. Given the cost of those around here - it's a good thing.
I love this!! Thanks for sharing. I'm all about edible centerpieces.
