Beer? Check. Fresh, floating fruit? Check. Smidge of vodka? Check. We think this might be our perfect summer cocktail. And you know we're suckers for pretty pink drinks.
We saw this recipe in Southern Living, and it made us think of lambic beer, which is often raspberry-flavored (and which we happen to like). But this also contains a little vodka to get the party going.
The lovely pink shade is from raspberry lemonade, and the instructions don't even include any muddling. You just stir everything together and serve.

This would be a pretty drink to serve at a summer picnic; it's refreshing, grown-up, and a definitely conversation starter. Has anyone tried something like it?

Porchcrawlers! A case of beer, a handle of vodka, and five cans of pink lemonade concentrate. It's a classic.
Ha! al24lola - We called those "pink panty pull-downs"! Very tasty indeed...
A pink shandy!
This might be my summer go-to drink. And when I say "might," I mean "most definitely will be." Thanks for sharing!
Looks delish! What types of beer work best for this?
Sounds yummy! Question though- would I be able to swap our Vodka for another liquor?
@xtinebeatriz - We always use a cheap lager; usually PBR.
We also use PBR, pink lemonade concentrate and vodka, and it's called Pink Pantydropper Punch.
hangover? check!
What a classy way of drinking pink panty droppers after college and not feeling like a total chotch!
Forget the beer, where do I get those chalkboard glasses?
My ultimate frisbee team called this concoction "scream and go naked" :)
@ErikTheRed I actually saw glasses like those at World Market last week (thought can't find them on the site to show you)
i'm with LWH! i've made this for a lot of bbqs as a great hit - 3-5 bottles lite bear, 1 can frozen lemonade, and 1.5c vodka, over ice. PUNCH!

Many people wonder how to homebrew and a lot of people either think that if they home brew their own beer, it will either be expensive, taste Disgusting or, be Really Difficult to Do.
And to be honest, that's what we thought many moons ago before we started to homebrew our own beer. http://bars-and-bartending.com/how-to-homebrew.html has all the directions, ingredients and supplies.
MIX. Mix up the beer concentrate and brewing sugar into the water
BREW. Add the yeast and let it ferment.
BOTTLE. Bottle your home brew, add some carbonation drops then store till ready.
ENJOY! The satisfaction of brewing your own beer, free from additives and preservatives.
a Pink Skippy?! Drank the yellow version of this (regular lemonade) from giant garbage cans in college. This way definitely looks prettier though.
I made this raspberry beer last week with pink lemonade concentrate and a darker beer. It came out great.
...but really, it has almost nothing to do with beer at all! (taste-wise)
