When plans for a lime and mint cocktail went awry last weekend (lesson: when shopping in a small-town grocery store 20 minutes before closing, be prepared for the mint to be sold out), we made this instead. Fast, easy, and very refreshing...
We shelved our fresh lime plans when we saw some Newman's Own Limeade, which we like because it's not too sweet and pairs well with liquor. We almost stopped there — limeade and vodka sounded just delightful, frankly — but then saw some raspberries.
A friend manned the blender, and she reports that the finished drink is two parts each of vodka and limeade, plus 3 parts ice. Blend, then throw in a handful of raspberries and blend again. Add a few floating berries as a garnish.
We should note that everyone in our group (men included) loved the hot pink color.

I really like the combo of raspberry and lime--I do this all the time when I make limeade.
Where'd those glasses come from? They're great!
So it's basically a raspberry-lime rickey without the carbonation.
I like to jazz up lemonade/limeade by using herbal teas instead of water. Lemonade made with mint tea is wonderfully refreshing.
Sounds nice and refreshing! Except for the newman's own limeade, since they use HFCS. Simply Limeade is a good grocery store brand w/ no HFCS.
Newman's Own limeade has no HFCS
