Okay guys, this is big. Big for snacks. Big for me, anyway. A while back, I stumbled upon some roasted coconut chips with a ridiculous price tag. I tried them and was hooked. But they were quite expensive, and seemed even more so as the bag weighed only a few ounces and could be devoured in one sitting. So I avoided them. Until now. Trader Joe's sells delicious, amazing coconut chips at a fraction of the price! Prepare yourself.
The chips are dry roasted, very crunchy, sweet, and delicious. And addictive. (You've been warned.) They're gluten free and contain nothing more than coconut, salt, and sugar. The 2-ounce bag lasted me two short days, so stock up. Great as a snack, these little chips would also be perfect over ice cream, yogurt, or even as a sweet addition to a savory dish like Thai noodles.
Have you tried these chips?

I love these too but experienced them as kind of bitter when added to something sweet (it says they're made with vinegar.) Was this just me?
These are delicious! My 1.5yo is obsessed with them. Last weekend she accidentally dumped the bag on the floor and SCREAMED like someone just chopped off her arm! Luckily we had another bag. Crisis averted!
Oh these are very dangerous. Never tasted anything like them.
That is dangerous in a good way :)
I must try these.
Our first bag didn't even last 3 hours. So addictive.
SOOO good, love these! just discovered them last weekend--hooked!
I made oatmeal this week with coconut milk and sprinkled with these chips on top, so so good <3
2 tsp (9g) of sugar per serving. That's a bit much for me. I roast my own coconut chips in the oven with a bit of sea salt. It's fast, easy and the results are just as addictive.
Sounds so delicious! Think I will have to try these soon!
I'm sitting here, browsing my feed reader, devouring a bag of these stupid delicious coconut chips right now. I buy them three at a time.
Love love love them! Actually going to go get a handful.
@annamasse-- care to share the details on the oven roasting? I've been toasting mine in a pan with a pinch of cinnamon and some sea salt but I wonder if the oven wouldn't give a more even toast. I feel like they are easy to burn even in the pan... do you just roast low and slow?
I just bought these before a trip we took and added the bag to some homemade trail mix. It was awesome!
Oh man, I bought them and made the mistake of opening the bag on the way home from the store because I needed a snack. And promptly ate nearly the whole bag. Yummy, but I think I od'd because I don't want to eat them anymore (fear of falling into the same hole?)
