I looked at buying these labels or some like them for canning, but it would involve either buying labels first or canning and then waiting a week to label all the jars. The practicality of the labels with pricing wasn't feasible, especially considering you should date everything you can.
What I have discovered - AND LOVE - are sharpie paint pens. You can write on glass with them. Get white/silver/black and use that to label canned goods.
A friend prints labels on full-sheet labels and then cuts them out with a cool large-diameter paper punch. Don't know where she got it but it looks like one of those hand-strength exercisers where you squeeze two handles together
I love the canning topper designs from RiverDog Prints! So cute and I also love that you can customize them to say anything you'd like. And also they're so brilliant in that you don't need labels or tape to use them, just put them on the lid and then screw the ring onto the jar and the topper stays in place! Amazing and great gift giving idea!

These are fantastic! And although DIY solutions are certainly cheaper, I love that I can support an indie business owner, and make my jams and preservers look truly awesome - a win:win!
