After being denied access to the U.S. market last year, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has given Palcohol approval to distribute its product in the United States.
The holdup wasn't due to concerns about the safety of the product or whether it would make things easier for underage drinkers — instead, it was based on a question about whether the labeling reflected the product that was actually inside.
So how do you use powdered alcohol? It's as easy as it sounds: mix it with a set amount of water or other liquid, and it makes it alcoholic. We're thinking it has some potential for inventive cocktails and boozy baked creations.
