Have your booze and eat it, too. It's cold outside in New York, but if it were sunny and warm and we were planning a party, these would be on the menu. We'd call them tipsy popsicles—they tipped right into our glasses of prosecco, whaddya know.
We pinned this image from Southern Living a long time ago and forgot about it (for shame!). With summer on its way—and wine week in full swing—we thought it was a fun, inspirational reminder that kid desserts and adult beverages can make a nice marriage.
Plus, how colorful and pretty do the glasses look all lined up on a tray? Obviously as the popsicles begin to melt, it might get a little messy. But if you buy fancy, natural fruit pops, these drinks almost become like bellinis as they sit.
And not that you need a recipe, but here's the link to the full story:

Has anyone tried something similar?

Not to be a Debbie downer, but I can only imagine a sticky mess and overly sweetened wine that I end up not wanting to drink. I'd be more interested in mixing in a small amount to champagne into the pops themselves.
Wonder if you could make champagne- or wine-based popsicles for this? Would they freeze or just be kind of slushy?
I think you could do wine flavored pops for this, if you didn't over-do the alcohol content. I think it's less messy to do sorbet balls scooped with a melon baller, maybe refrozen before popping them in
I kind of agree with akay- I think I'll stick to putting frozen fruit in my prosecco/white wine for my summer-fun cocktail.
Try putting a small scoop of your favorite sorbet (or sherbet) into a glass of prosecco and you might just change your mind! I love it with raspberry.
I've actually done something very similar to this.. We didn't have have ice for our Pimms, so we dropped a few popsicles into the pitcher. It was really good!
