Q: I would like to preserve summer berries beyond jams, jellies, and preserves, and I have been reading about freezing berries. The sources call for storing the frozen berries in plastic bags, but I would like to avoid plastic in my kitchen. Is there any reason why I couldn't or shouldn't store berries in glass?

Editor: Mia, I don't see any problem with storing frozen berries in freezer-safe glass containers instead of plastic containers or bags.
Readers, do you have any advice for freezing and storing berries without plastic?
