Pizza is in on the weekly meal rotation in our house, but lately we've gotten into a rut of the same old crust, the same old sauce, and the same old toppings. Boring! It's definitely time to shake things up. We scoured the web for some new recipes to get us excited again, and here's what we found!
1. Breakfast Pizza with Eggs from The Kitchn - This sounds like a breakfast-for-dinner dream come true!
2. Spinach, White Bean, and Taleggio Pizza from The Kitchn - Elizabeth based this recipe on a pizza she had at Jim Lahey's New York restaurant. We'll definitely have to give it a try.
3. Eggplant, Green Olive, and Provolone Pizza from Epicurious (pictured above) - This just sounds like an interesting mix of toppings for a pizza, don't you think?
4. Ham, Gruyere, and Shallot Pizza from Real Simple (pictured above) - A simple and perfect combination of flavors.
5. Butternut Squash Pizza from Real Simple (pictured above) - Squash is one thing that we never thought to put on pizza. This recipe pairs it with fresh ricotta.
6. Pizza with Broccoli Rabe and Roasted Onions from Smitten Kitchen - We're not fans of regular broccoli on pizza, but tender broccoli rabe sounds intriguing.
7. Chanterelle, Radicchio, and Pancetta Pizza from Bon Appétit - This one is so classy, we could make it for a dinner party!
8. Pizza with Slow-Roasted Shredded Pork, Thyme, Taleggio, and Lemon-Dressed Rocket from Jamie Oliver - This would take a bit of time to assemble, but we have a feeling it would be well worth it.
9. Swiss Chard and Artichoke White Pizza from Farmgirl Fare - Another good way to get our daily greens!
What kind of pizza have you been making lately?

I've made the smitten kitchen broccoli rabe one several times and it is truly delicious.
Last weekend I did caramelized onions, ricotta, and toasted pine nuts (on top of some tomato sauce).
Bacon, caramelized onions, garlic-thyme olive oil, and goat cheese.
Spanikopita pizza (easier than spanikopita) - frozen chopped spinach, sauteed with a diced onion and fresh nutmeg til dry, add parsley, top with feta and just a little mozzarella
I just saw the butter and onion tomato sauce on Smitten Kitchen and thought it would be great on pizza with roasted onions and peppers.
I am a big fan of weird things on pizza. Here are a few of my favorites:

The description of the Jamie Oliver pizza is making my mouth water.
I'm very interested in ideas for pizza without cheese, since everyone in my household (except me) is allergic to it . . .
I've been making a roasted fennel and taleggio pizza, and another with roasted mushrooms, tomato sauce, and parmigiano.
I don't ever make pizza at home, it's just not something I'd bother with. That said, one of my favorites is Mellow Mushroom's 'coco'--hummus base with artichoke hearts, feta, onions, provolone and spinach.
I love Cheeseboard!
We just made this Thai chicken pizza, which I loved: http://saucyandbossy.wordpress.com/2010/01/13/thai-chicken-pizza/ (I wish I had some right now...)
Trader Joe's used to have a phenomenal cheeseless roasted vegetable pizza that was to die for, but we just found out they discontinued it. Super sad!!!
I know the flavor combo is unusual, but I still love my pear pizza with red onions and walnut pesto:

it only works for spring/summer, but in winter i long for pizza with fresh yellow peaches, jersey milk ricotta, and a blend of mint and arugula. i've made it a couple of times, but not recently. heaven on a crust.
Gialina in Glen Park, SF serves a zucca pizza with thin-sliced butternut squash, ricotta salata, and fried sage: http://www.gialina.com/menu/
We had a fabulous pizza at The Kitchen, a local Boulder restaurant, last night- tomato sauce, mozzarella, baby arugula and parsnip chips. The parsnip chips added an awesome crunch and the flavor combo FAR exceeded my expectations.
make the swiss chard version posted here. it's really delicious!
mmmmm pizza!
pesto, feta & artichoke hearts or eggplant, feta & tomato
are my favorites
Does anyone have an easy pizza crust recipe to share?
I can make a pretty killer chicken alfredo pizza.
I LOVE experimenting with different pizza combos. I'm lucky my man has given in/learned to love (or at least appreciate) my desire for a thin, almost crunchy, whole wheat crust. Because he adapted to my crust preferences, I'll oblige his requests for a meat filled pizza (on his half). But one topping combo we BOTH adored, was a very thin layer of marinara, followed by provolone cheese, and then topped with sauteed fennel & pancetta, and roma tomatoes. WOW. Talk about amazing.
Here's a link to my pizza post on my blog, which includes my current favorite crust, as well as topping combos.
We like thin crust and we're still trying to make the New Haven/ New York pizzas we soooo miss out here on the West Coast. We found an awesome one right here:
