We love making homemade pasta because it just tastes so much better than the dried box kind, and of course is a lot more fun! We make ravioli on a fairly regular basis and we just use our fingers and a sharp knife to shape them into squares. It wasn't until we saw these ravioli stamps that we realized how much we wanted them!

Made from durable aluminum, these round ravioli stamps will help you create perfect and authentic shaped ravioli. The stamps come in 3.15" and 2.5", which is great for those who have a certain size preference. These stamps not only shape and mark the pasta for cutting, but it also makes the actual cut. This make sit much easier than forming the shape with your fingers and then going back to cut.
The compact wood handle fits perfectly in the palm of your hand so you can easily cut the pasta. The stamps are made in Italy and are actually reasonably priced. For $7.00, these stamps should stand the test of time.

Meh. I had one of these very stamps and I just donated it to Goodwill. I had problems with them not cutting through both (thin) sheets of pasta, leaving the bottom layer kind of mangled, or - even worse - detaching the top layer from the bottom layer. I've since switched to a fluted pastry wheel which doesn't give you the perfect little rounds, but does breeze through the dough for nice little squares or triangles.
I have a square one and it works fine. It's certainly not necessary and if I did it again I'd just get a little wheel, but it does the job.
I've been using a round ravioli stamp for years and it works great. The kids really enjoy making the ravioli.
