Patricia and Daniel's Sausalito home is amazing and one-of-a-kind. First of all, it's a houseboat. Second of all, it was built in the 1970s by Japanese architect Kiddo, and the entire home was crafted in the traditional Japanese method of Joinery, which doesn't use any nails.
This "magical waterfront oasis" is beloved by both the couple and their friends. The style is rustic with a contemporary twist, and the kitchen, though small, feels very intimate and cozy due to the dark wood and black countertops.

Red-and-Pink-Stripe...

Sorry, but there was no 'Japanese architect' by the name of Kiddo in the 70's. Forbes Kiddo was and is the builder of many houseboats in Sausalito at the time as well as the builder, owner and proprietor of Forbes Island at Pier 39 in SF.
