A tall open shelf in the kitchen is great for storing pantry essentials, but without a solid way to organize things, it can end up looking untidy and uninspiring. The dark paint background — painted in Farrow & Ball's "Down Pipe" — was a brilliant move. It makes the whole piece look more sophisticated and put-together, while the baskets keep the loose stuff corralled and organized.
