6. Crispy Salt & Vinegar Potatoes

This is part of our vegan snack series, but of course you don't have to be vegan to enjoy these delightful salty, puckery oven-baked potatoes. 7. How To Make Restaurant-Style Salsa in a Blender

This is a special salsa recipe that is as good as, if not better than, the kind you get in restaurants. And the beauty of it is, you don't need to use fresh tomatoes. The canned variety actually works best here, so you can make this year-round. And the blender makes it a breeze!

8. Chicken Empanadas

Wrapping dough around a well-seasoned filling and popping it into a steamer, deep frier, or oven is how the whole world makes their snacks. Empanadas are of the oven variety, and this chicken version is top-notch. The filing is moist from the dark-meat chicken and packed full of flavor from cumin, paprika and garlic, and the dough bakes golden-brown and tender.
