Something happened last night that only happens once every three years: IKEA unveiled its new PS collection. According to the math, that means the last collection was in 2014.

The new IKEA PS 2017 hits stores on Feb 1 and, while there's plenty to get excited about (more than 50 new products — all designed to make your lives easier), we've picked our three favorites here.

1. Spice, drink, and whole-grain mixes, from $1.50 each

Food at IKEA is nothing new, but this is the first time that IKEA has ever included food as part of a collection (instead of just a separate thing on the side).

The collection includes spice (ramson with lemon, and apple with fennel) and drink mixes (rooibos with rosehip, matcha with Lingonberry, and maté with raspberry). The spices can be used as quick and easy marinades or stirred into sour cream for a tangy sauce. The drink mixes, well, just mix them with water and drink!

The third item — and our favorite — of the food collection? Whole-grain mixes, available in two flavors (one with mushrooms and one with ramson, jalapeño, lemon, and lingonberries). They're ready almost as soon as the water boils and taste like something you'd expect from a company that's been making grains for decades. You know, instead of furniture.

2. 3-piece self-watering plant pot set, $25

Missing a green thumb? No problem. This self-watering planter has a separate chamber for water and automatically pulls up H2O as the plant needs it. There are plenty of self-watering planters out there, but very few can hold a large plant and certainly none look quite this good.

3. SLADDA Bicycle, $499

Not technically part of the PS 2017 collection, this bike was the star of the night. It's made of aluminum, which means it's lighter than other bikes. It also has a handful of integrated connection points so that you can easily click on and off accessories like racks, bags, and trailers. Just think how easy grocery shopping would be if you had one of these to haul your goods home in.
