Question: When I make muffins, no matter how I store them, the tops get so "sticky" that they are practically wet. How do you store muffins after they are baked?
Just want to thank Nina for the popover recipe and Faith for the zucchini and garlic soup recipe. Served them together on Wednesday night and they were both major hits.
Spossberg, It's not green, but it works and it helps me take a homemade muffin for breakfast instead of something else, likely something processsed...but I wrap mine individually in a bit of plastic wrap. Then I throw whatever I won't eat in the next few days in the freezer. They thaw just fine in the fridge or on my desk. I try to use the smallest slice of plastic wrap that I can, though! And they've never been "wet" :)
i freeze my muffins as well - since i eat them at home, i can just freeze them all together in one container (i've been using a freezer bag, but will probably move to glass tupperware). then since i usually have one for breakfast and am always in a hurry in the mornings, i will microwave it for around 10 seconds just to get it to thaw quickly, then pop in the toaster oven for one or two toasts (and that way they are warm and almost like just-baked, too!)
