My resolution: Who doesn't want better bacon in their life?
Thanks, Jason! Readers, do you have any advice or suggestions for him?

Now that's a resolution I could get behind! And I just got a smoker for Christmas!
Anyone know of any good resources for learning how to do this??
Michael Ruhlman's Home Cured Bacon recipe is a good place to start: http://ruhlman.com/2010/10/home-cured-bacon-2/
my husband and I bought Michael Ruhlman's Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking, and Curing book and we think it's awesome. We haven't purchased bacon in about 2 years now because smoking our own is fun and really, really delicious. We've also done the recipe for Canadian bacon and smoking fish from the book and both are great. No more limp, tasteless grocery store bacon!
