We've talked before about the challenge of having a kitchen with no storage drawers. One of the problems such a kitchen presents is where to store kitchen linens. Well, this is a charming solution for dishcloths in particular:
Reuse a large glass jar to store a stack or square-folded dishcloths. The glass allows you to see the beautiful colors of your collection and its open top acts as a convenient dispenser for you to reach right in and grab one whenever needed. The one pictured is actually used for storing wash cloths in a bathroom, but we could definitely see this translating to dish cloths on a window sill over the sink.
We would love to try this with all of the pretty hand-knit dishcloths our mother makes. Would this solution work for you in your kitchen?

This is the exact problem I've got... A simple solution for me has been to use pretty baskets. I've got a LOT of ugly things tucked into matching wicker baskets, all easily accesible and organized. Oh, and I took the doors off my above-sink cabinets... I have to keep it "prettier" but it also provides more visual interest in my teensy kitchen without extra clutter and keeps things we use all the time super accessible ie. first aid kit (yep, we're "those people"), dishcloths, recipes, change jar, bread bin (which used to take up a MASSIVE amount of counter space.)
