We were so excited to see the latest issue of Dwell, because the kitchen on the cover looks very familiar! It's Art and Chelsea's loft in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood, which we featured here last summer.
The pair also gave us a peek at their balcony last summer during our My Great Outdoors month. And Art, himself, is a long-time member of The Kitchn community, offering lots of great tips and insight in the comments section.
The Dwell feature focuses on their gorgeous Bulthaup-clad kitchen, which Art renovated himself with the help of his father, a bricklayer, and two brothers.
Check out the accompanying slideshow for photos of the kitchen itself, and some beautiful dishes they prepared in it. Art, a chef at Chicago's Bijan’s Bistro, put together a spread of goat ribs with pesto, a pumpkin salad fresh from the farmers' market and foil-wrapped grilled whitefish seasoned with piment d’Espelette.
For dessert, Chelsea put her skills as a certified pastry chef to work on a s'mores tart with marshmallow kisses. The only thing we're missing are some recipes!
