So you've conquered your homemade ice cream ambitions, and your triple-fudge raspberry swirl is the envy of the neighborhood. What's next? Waffle cones, that's what.

There's nothing quite like a warm waffle cone, fresh off the iron, sweet and fragrant with vanilla. My local ice cream shop makes them and it's the scent of the baking waffle cones that draws me in more than anything else!

To make them at home, you use an iron rather like a regular waffle iron, but with much shallower channels. Sure, it's a single-use gadget, and yes, you could get a similar effect just using a griddle or a baking sheet — see our instructions below.

But if you just long for ice cream cones every weekend and want to really show off your prowess, this highly rated little iron is the thing for you. Just put it to good use and we'll be right over.

Does anyone have one of these? What do you think of it?
