Free, 7 p.m. on 12/12 at the main branch of the Brooklyn Public Library in Grand Army Plaza (2/3 train to Grand Army Plaza). This event is part of the library's Traditions on the Table holiday food series.
• Fair Trade Fair: New York City Fair Trade Coalition invites us to their first annual Fair Trade Fair featuring coffee, chocolate, a bake sale and more. 12/9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 239 Thompson St., south of Washington Square Park.
