People either love white cabinets or they hate 'em. Some folks think white uppers and lowers can provide sleek, blank slates to start a room; others think white is far too boring.

Regardless of where you fall on the spectrum, you should be able to appreciate this kitchen in Birmingham, Alabama. It may be white, but thanks to a few bright accents, it's anything but boring.

Here's how you can get the look — on a budget.

For starters, these are AKURUM cabinets, which you may know (from lots of updates on our end) has since been discontinued. Have no fear, though — the line has been replaced with SEKTION cabinets.

Next up, where to get some of those colorful finds.

These Metal Tolix-style stools look almost identical to the authentic version, but they're a fraction of the price on Overstock. Yup, that caption is correct — just $89 for two. If yellow's not your thing, you're in luck because they also come in other colors including red and two shades of blue.

At just $40 each, you can get a couple of these pendant lights and put a few over your kitchen island. (And your breakfast table, while you're at it!)

Every new mom we know has one of these grass countertop drying racks. The good news: Babies aren't a requirement to get one. Non-parents have wet dishes too!

This Dhurrie stripe rug isn't the exact same one as in the photo, but it's durable, modern-looking, and inexpensive.

One of the easiest ways to add color to a kitchen is through dish towels. And at only $4 a pop, you can stock up on a bunch of these Dunroven House dish towels and change out the colors almost daily. See them all here.
