I have this problem with breakfast. I don't like it. I need it, but I don't like it. It takes too much time and I'm not into eating a quick granola bar just because. I want real food but I don't have the time, so lucky for me I came across this pita pizza that takes 5 whole minutes. Who doesn't have that?
I love pizza for any meal. Who doesn't? We usually get hung up, though, it comes to dough. Sure you can buy it premade, but unless you're preheating your oven at 5am, chances are breakfast pizza, unless cooked the night before is probably out.
This simple pizza uses up leftover pita bread and ingredients found in most refrigerators. To help keep time down, pre-grate your cheese so you're ready to sprinkle and bake. If you have a toaster oven this pizza can be heated and ready to eat in just a few minutes, but it might take a little longer with a conventional oven.
So preheat when you wake up, toss it in while you're in the shower and enjoy a real meal before you walk out the door. Pita pizza = awesome.

This sounds amazing. Gotta pin it for future making. :)
I don't doubt your mornings are busy, but I am so tired of this myth tat fixing bfast takes a lot of time. I rarely take more than 10 minutes to fix breakfast and regularly enjoy various egg dishes, pancakes, pita creations, and more.
@Indy Jeffrey. What??? There are so many people out there that have to drive 1 or 2 or even more hours to get to work in the morning. Some may even have several children that they have to get dressed, feed, and get them to the bus in time.
Just saying...
Bowl+cereal+milk. Takes like 30 seconds and I can eat a whole bowl in less than 2 minutes.
@Indy Jeffrey - When your schedule (like mine) dictates that you get up at a time that will always be uncomfortable, no matter how much sleep you get, every minute counts. I am simply not going to get up ten minutes earlier just to make breakfast (plus it takes another ten to eat it, so that's 10-20 minutes I could be sleeping).
My problem with breakfast is that i just don't feel like eating anything "traditionnal" : everything will be either too dry of too soggy.
Thank you for sharing these kind of recipes, which hopefully will mean less breakfast-less days for me.
If someone could make me a fry-up, or deliver fresh croissants, then I would eat breakfast. Otherwise, it's just a cup of coffee for me.
I would love to make a healthy spinach-and-tomato omelet every morning but working full time and going to grad school full time mean that I'm exhausted in the mornings and not up to cooking. I may try this recipe although I've been staying away from eating breads since I'm sensitive to gluten. This would be good with a veggie-based bread or pancake-type thing. Thanks for the idea!
Jeffrey,
Chill out and try doing it before completing dishing the whole thing. Ten extra minutes is not going to be end of life as you know it...you probably spend the same amount of time (if not more) stopping for doughnuts or a breakfast sandwich. Simply prep it over night. I had 7 kids, I commuted two hours and I spent about 20 minutes every morning doing breakfast and I LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT.
