When was the last time you had a glass of orange juice with breakfast? Turns out Americans are sipping the former breakfast staple a lot less often than they used to. It was reported that orange juice sales hit an all-time low recently, and that's only part of the bad news.
Due to a disease called "citrus greening" orange production is also at an all time low. Meaning manufacturers can't entice consumers with lower prices. Many consumers have also given up the drink for dietary concerns.
