We're always on the hunt for easy, stylish ways to carry lunch to work. With all the Easter leftovers, we really needed a big lunch box this morning.
Maybe we should have bought this lunch box from Pottery Barn? We were suprised to see Pottery Barn enter the grown-up lunch box market ...
The tote is Pottery Barn's new "green line." The lunch box sells for $19 and the set of three glass containers with plastic lids, made by Frigoverre from Bormioli, is an additional $19. We have a sturdy, space-saving pitcher from the same company so that made us a bit more interested in this set.
This lunch box might be on the large side for some eaters, but we've got a lot of ham, yams, beets, some steak we grilled on Saturday. We've seen these in their store, but they are not on their website yet.

I think this might be the same thing from crate and barrel for $14.95!

I already have a few round, jar containers with the same thick plastic covers. They are great, not sure if they are leaky though, since more than one would be too heavy for my lunch bag.
A soft-side insulated cooler with 9-can capacity makes a good large lunch box, and it's flexible enough to accommodate containers of different shapes and sizes, plus ice packs and whatever else you might need to carry.
I just have a cotton lunch bag from an online bag company (completely blanking on the name right now) that's the shape of a brown paper bag, but twice as big. Lots more flexibility than the Crate & Barrel tote would offer, but theirs is insulated, I guess.
For a time, I tried using one of those Laptop Lunches, but it was just too small and it doesn't seal when it closes, so if you have anything semi-liquid or with small pieces, it would get all over. My cotton bag lets me use my own tupperware.
I have to walk through Pottery Barn to get to the Apple Store at my mall, and happened to ask if they had them. They did, and I picked a set up-- very sturdy, dishwasher safe, very nice! I also picked up the aluminum water bottle.
