You probably recognize Allie Lewis from the PBS cooking series Everyday Food, but did you know she was an economics major, and then worked at Mesa Grill and Bolo in New York City? (There's a bit of a tradition of moving between the finance cooking worlds over at Martha's. Martha herself went to work on Wall Street.)Today, she's a deputy food editor for Everyday Food and oversees the test kitchen. She also occasionally appears on Martha Stewart's show and writes a column, "How-To with Allie," guiding readers through basic cooking techniques.
