Speaking of recycled glass kitchenware, embedded on the website of Natural Home Magazine, there is a shop carrying a line of eco-friendly kitchen product like recycled glass bowls, a carafe, and a series of bamboo kitchen items. Natural Home's Recycled Glass Bowl comes in a 9" and 12" version and would make a great wedding gift for those green life loving newlyweds on your list. I've put just-off-the-stove hot dishes in it, stored it cold in the fridge, and run it through the dishwasher. As far as glass bowls go, short of electing it the next Pyrex, this guy's a workhorse.
The Recycled Glass Pitcher is just crying out for some margaritas, no? As with the bowls, this is not an elegant or dainty item, like Faith's favorite VivaTerra carafe, rather something suited for family water pouring, or outdoor cocktail parties.
As for the bamboo, at this point, bamboo housewares are not that new and exciting. However, there is one standout: this Bamboo Hand Broom and Dustpan Combo is a handsome alternative to the ugly plastic dustpans that clutter most kitchens' cleaning supply area.
