What a relief - we're done with the Thanksgiving features and more diverse holiday cooking moves to the forefront. Be on the lookout for good ideas for food gifts! In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, there is an inspiring and varied list of suggestions for homemade food gifts along with recipes for French fish soup and Thai eggplant. In Kansas City they do a great profile on women in the wine profession and a suggestion for a quick holiday appetizer. I've spent the last two weeks in Columbus, Ohio and have been reminded what a delicious town this is for food lovers. The Dispatch confirms this again this week with strongly flavored gelatins, Thai kebabs and holiday cookies. The Sarasota, Florida, Herald-Tribune did a great piece recently on Sugar High Friday, a venerable blogging event. Worth a read for the shout-out to bloggers and the recipe for chili chocolate cinnamon pudding.
