MUJI's Ultra-Sleek Minimalist Rice Cooker

We've been talking a lot about rice lately, so we couldn't forget the magic that is the rice cooker – especially this cult favorite from MUJI. It's always tough to decide whether or not to add another appliance to your kitchen, especially if you're short on space, but this minimalist rice cooker is definitely worth a second look.

The rice cooker is part of a line of streamlined countertop appliances designed by Naoto Fukasawa exclusively for MUJI. The line also includes a toaster and an electric kettle. If you are looking for bells and whistles, this won't be the rice cooker choice for you, but if you're looking for an extremely simple, high-quality appliance, this is it.

And in true MUJI fashion, there are a couple of additional details that make the design really stand out. Our favorite part about the rice cooker is the built-in spoon rest on the lid to hold your rice paddle. Of course, you'll have to buy the bamboo rice paddle separately.
