I use these and love them. I don't think they smell all that much coffee like, but they are certainly much more doable than the other chemical alternatives to real firewood.
I buy them at Whole Foods by the box and have them delivered.
I am dying to try these, just can't seem to find them anywhere around here (seacoast New Hampshire), even at the stores the website suggests. Such a great idea, and a great "making of" story behind it.
Great recommendation! I've been using these on occasion since they were launched and, while I haven't noticed a coffee smell, they are clean-burning, easy to light, and produce a nice flame. Fortunately they're pretty widely available in California these days.
