Find out more about our encounter below, and tell us about your own experiences with famous chefs. We were hoping to ask Ms. Waters about the luncheon for Michelle Obama where she would be speaking later in the day, and find out what she found at the Green City Market to serve there.
But we have to admit, we found ourselves a bit starstruck and tongue-tied, so we simply said hello and thanked her for signing our copy of The Art of Simple Food.
Later, we found out that she selected ingredients from the market to create a menu of grilled organic chicken with herbs a la nicoise and summer vegetables, as well as baked stuffed Hargrande apricots with vanilla ice cream. Sounds delightful!
