- What makes your small kitchen so cool?
- Simple, practical palette of white, stainless steel, birch ply and pine. The storage 'clutter' is mainly concentrated on one wall to contrast with the plain expanses elsewhere.
- Describe a challenge you've overcome or a smart resource you've found for your kitchen.
- The kitchen was relocated from the back of the flat to the front to obtain south facing light and be better positioned next to the living room. This meant knocking a boxroom (large closet) and study together to form one room. The 'before' photo is the original kitchen.
- What's your favorite meal to cook here?
- Breakfast.

I love this! Simple, stylish and very cool.
I love your kitchen! But, I actually love more of your sketch at the end! =D
I like the counter-depth storage for the pans, it's very practical.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the hand-drawn floor plan. This should win for that alone!!
Beautifully conceived, having been lucky to see the before, but not the 'after' in person yet, can't wait to have breakfast there as well. Well done woman!
awesome use of integrated dishwasher and washing machine, I like my appliances streamlined
Did you used to have a fireplace in your kitchen? it looks nice and I like the lamp you have in there but the hanging pendant could be a little nicer than just a plain paper shade.
Yes, the old kitchen had a fireplace which would originally have housed the cooking range. Timely comment re the paper shade, as it is being replaced this week. However, I do like plain paper shades as they offer good non-directional light and fit my requirements for objects (especially lighting) to be cost-effective, functional and 'non-statementy'.
Utterly charming in every way.
I <3 your floorplan
