Just in time for the release of the newest movie in the "Star Wars" franchise, Ample Hills has partnered with Lucasfilm to create two specialty ice cream flavors.
The Brooklyn-based ice cream company has had a great couple of years with their cookbook, expanded locations, and a $4 million round of fundraising this fall. But this might be our favorite news yet. (After all, we do love Star Wars here at The Kitchn.)
Now, about those two flavors. Here are the descriptions straight from the Ample Hills website.
- The Light Side: A bright marshmallow ice cream with homemade crispie clusters, as well as a smattering of handmade cocoa crispies (to represent the dark side still lurking within the light).
- The Dark Side: An ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls (to represent the light still hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through).
The flavors are only available on the Ample Hills website and will be sold in packs of four pints (two of each flavor) for $36. New Yorkers, you can also order online and schedule a pickup in-store. May the force be with you.
