You're jonesing for an organic carrot and it isn't your farmers' market day. What's a veggie lover to do?
If you live below 24th Street in Manhattan, our friends at MaxDelivery.com will deliver organic fruits and vegetables to your door in under one hour with a reduced delivery fee of $2.95 for the month of July. If you're new to MaxDelivery, your first two deliveries are free, and first-time orders over $20 get $10 off.
They have everything from apples, bananas, citrus and berries to salad greens, bell peppers and broccoli. Prices aren't too bad, and while you're not buying directly from the grower (and you know that's what we advocate), you are getting some nice clean food. Sure beats the banana from the corner deli.

Good tip!
I thought they might deliver a watermelon to my office - then I could take it up to the park for the Philharmonic tomororw. No such luck, since they aren't in my work zip code (Murray Hill) yet.
Wow, you New Yorkers sure do think of everything. I would kill to have such a great, organic delivery service. Not to mention one that seems so affordable.
What I'd prefer is someone who'd pick stuff up at the greenmarket and deliver it. Any one know of this -without too much expense?
