What challenge have you overcome in your kitchen? We moved the gas line to put the stove into an existing "nook" and at the same time made room for the fridge to fit without blocking the doorway. After adding vintage appliances, re-painting the cabinets, and a fun VCT floor; the kitchen had a great old feel to it!

What's the story of your kitchen?
Bought an old 1930's double bungalow that needed a complete renovation. The kitchen was awkwardly laid out with a fridge blocking a doorway and awkward placement of the stove. We were able to move the gas line for the stove, make room for the fridge, and use vintage appliances and formica countertops with metal edge to give it a great period feel.
What is your favorite meal to cook here?
Any meal with friends - from a good night of Mexican food to comfort foods in the winter, friends always have fun in the kitchen (it's quite the conversation piece!).

I WANT your kitchen. Wonderful job. Love how you stayed with the era of the home. Definitely a thumbs up from me.
Great look! From the color to the vintage appliances, it's got to be a fun room to cook up a good meal with friends.
Makes me homesick for the Midwest :'(
This Kitchen! The colors are bright and the appliances are great! I can't believe it's the same kitchen in the before photo!!! Great job!
I totally LOVE this kitchen!!! Wish I could vote for it over and over!
This kitchen makes me happy! Great choice of wall colour, flooring, and kudos for rescuing the cabinets and going with vintage appliances. Great job!
Awesome! I love the slotted cupboards under the sink and also all the beautiful cabinets. I want to know what goes inside that tiny cabinet in the top corner! :)
very nice...love the vintage and the use of space...and look at all that storage!
I absolutely love the floor. The touches of red is brilliant.
Wow! great job! fantastic B4 & after!
Love the solitary tomato-red square on the floor and the wall colors. Wonderful makeover!
I love the applicances, the cabinets and that cabinet doors under the sink! And yes, great choice of colors & lots of storage for a small kitchen too!
moving from Phoenix to Minneapolis, the biggest real estate WTF I had was the kitchens. Seriously, what is WRONG with minneapolis kitchens? For some reason, ALL OF MY CABINETS ARE LIKE THREE FEET DEEP!
Anyway, rant over...Splendid job making this kitchen both functional and beautiful. Even more kudos knowing first hand what you have to work with. Well done!
Can't believe the "before" and "after" are the same kitchen! Beautiful job!
Lovely.

i love the kitchen, especially those floor tiles!! so fun!! nicely done!!
I really applaud the use of color here - it's a bold risky color that really works. I also appreciate that the owner didn't just rip everything out - the vintage stove looks great, and VCT tiles are a great choice to complete the look.
Adorable! I love this. The colors are grown-up yet fun, and it fits so well with the 1930s style of the home.
Your kitchen has inspired me to do the VCT tile in my kitchen
