- What makes your small kitchen so cool?
- Our small kitchen is cool because in 50 square feet we had 87 cubic feet of storage! Plus, my husband and I designed and built the entire kitchen ourselves, with the exception of the electrical.
- Describe a challenge you've overcome or a smart resource you've found for your kitchen.
- We had to adapt the entire row of base cabinets on one wall because we were constrained by the main plumbing supply wall for the building and a shared party wall on the other side. In using Ikea cabinets we were able to easily cut down the boxes. We purchased new drawer slides to re-install all of the drawers too. Furthermore, to free up counter space we designed and installed "floating" or cantilevered shelves for the microwave.
- What's your favorite meal to cook here?
- Pierogi and goalbki (stuffed cabbage) - we are both Polish.

Very nice!
It did turn out great, but pictures don't do it justice!!
It is such a sleek and efficient small kitchen. The cantilevered shelf for the microwave is very creative and gives it a lighter existence in this small kitchen. KKiser
Aewsome!
Awesome!
Love your counter-depth fridge? What brand/model is it?
Therapizeme - The refrigerator brand is Explorer, model #: BOOH2486.
Wow. What an amazing use of space in a truly small kitchen. You get bonus points for being half the size of most othe "small" kitchens
Having lived with a tiny kitchen myself, I am amazed by the amount of storage! Well done.
I like the pierogi too!
Wonderful use of the space!
Very nice MaryEllen! Good work!
I love the microwave shelving, where did you get that?
The microwave shelves were custom made by our metal fabricator. It is a simple design, so any metal fabricator could make them at a reasonable price.
