You Can Skip the Boiling Water with This New Kind of Pasta

We promise this isn't an April Fool's joke.

Barilla has introduced a new line of pasta called Pronto that doesn't have to be added to boiling water in order to cook.

Confused? Here's how it works.

You add cold water and the pasta to your pot and turn on the heat to high. The pasta then has to cook for 10 minutes with an occasional stir before it's ready.

But here's the strangest part: The pasta absorbs all the water. When the noodles are done cooking you won't even have to drain them; instead you can just add your favorite sauce. Take a look at the video showing how to cook the Barilla Pronto noodles:

We're refraining from judgment until we get a chance to try them. If you taste test, let us know what you think!
