Remember those colorful candy buttons that come on strips of shiny paper? These candy buttons were a staple of many birthday parties, and they're great little accessories for decorating cakes and cookies. Well, you can also make these at home really easily!
This method for making candy buttons (or dots) is extremely easy, and, in fact, it's pretty similar to this method for making homemade sprinkles: How To Make Sprinkles for Cupcakes and Cookies.
Just make a meringue icing, squeeze out dots, and let them dry on freezer or wax paper. Cut into strips and, ta-da! Homemade candy buttons.
