No one truly needs
$16 stainless steel measuring spoons. After all, a set from the dollar store will function just as well.
Yet these All-Clad measuring spoons are so sweet, they just might be worth it. Their heft and feeling in the hand gives anxious bakers confidence. For those who might forget the difference between a tsp. and a Tbsp. --especially in the heat of getting a chocolate cake in the oven before the company arrives -- these measuring spoons provide a leg up. "Teaspoon" and "tablespoon" are spelled out in full on the handles of each spoon.
Since the measurements are engraved in the metal, rather than printed on top, the printing will not wear off after many trips through the dishwasher.
One quibble: the chain that is used to keep the measuring spoons together rusted through and broke in the middle of a holiday baking spree. At this price, there has to be a higher-quality solution and we expect more from All-Clad. Does anyone have a suggestion for a food-safe way to keep measuring spoons together, maybe some kind of silicone loop?
