Here's a little something most of us will never have: A separate kitchen, pantry, and guest room just for cooking and entertaining. This beautiful barn in East Hampton belongs to Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa. It's her office, really...
Garten built this little house as a place to develop recipes and film television shows outside of her primary home. There's an extra long countertop for prep work and classic Belgian details.
We love the quiet decor—putty-colored walls, neutral fabrics, simple Metro shelving in the pantry. And apparently Ina loves to listen to dance music while she's cooking. Oh, we wish we could visit.

Its so bright and gorgeous!! I generally like pops of color, but I really do like her use of whites and neutrals.
Very nice!
OMG that is beautiful. To think this is her 'barn'! I can only hope for something so great as a real house eventually!
Great to see a stylish *working* kitchen. Her open shelving looks great...I wish I had such good looking stuff in my pantry!
So peaceful...
I love the pantry, too.
I love Ina! She is fabulous!
Jack London (the author) and his wife Charmian built a separate house next to theirs for entertaining. If you are ever in Valley of the Moon in California, go to the state park and see it. It's beautiful!
I love Ina.
Her barn is beautiful.
OMG... can she adopt me so I can share this space with her? so beautiful...inside and out.
