We've seen a lot of painted floors in the kitchen, but this is definitely new. We're getting a bit of a Dr. Seuss vibe, with the bold, swirly, hand-drawn pattern. What about you? Do you like it in this room? Do you like it with a broom?
Speaking of brooms, we're sure this faux bois floor is pretty good at hiding dirt. And the black and white is a perfect choice; if you're going to do a faux bois treatment in a room like a kitchen (especially a beachy one like this), we think a graphic, yes-it's-clearly-fake look is better than a khaki/brown combo meant to look more like real wood.
It's definitely a big statement, though. What do you think?

Oh, I love it. The whimsical and graphic nature of it are just up my alley. I wonder how long and labor intensive that project was.
I love it. I have that fake wood you're making fun of. It's better than carpet or linoleum, but this beats out all of it.
Great!
love it!!
Looks like gigantic black & white ash grain. It is awesome.
Ooooh that's what "faux bois" means. Heheheh man, I'm awesome
oh my, i am in LOVE. this kitchen is amazing. :)
I'm not sure what I would stop at to get a floor like this one in my kitchen as opposed to uneven, unsealed, unappealing tile.
You know what's funny? We all love it here, but click through to the page and almost no one there likes it.
I've seen this product in a high-end kitchend and design outfit window (in Prague of all places). Definitely made me think of Seuss when I saw it!
I think it worked better with the almost futuristic cabinets I saw it combined with (the island was round, and light from within with LED lights). In comparison, this floor doesn't quite look right with this kitchen.
The floor itself is fun though -- in the right context, it is brilliant.
I should add that when we came across it -- in a show window, walking down a dark street one evening -- everyone in my family laughed out loud the instant we saw it --my 4 year old, 7 year old and my husband. It's an attention-grabber for sure...
Love it! It would look smashing in a Great Room.
I think it's great, but not in that particular room. It doesn't look like it goes with the rest of the decor, but rather dominates the whole area.
Eeeeee-wwwwwww.....
Yuck. Too busy and dizzying.
Hate it. Just looking at it gives me a headache.
like the kitchen, HATE the floor
Love it! The classy/simple kitchen lends itself to having one "out-there" trait, and the faux-bois is it.
omg, LOVE IT!
I want a how-did-they-do-this post now! Love that floor. Wish the pic wasn't so bright though.
I do not like it here or there. I do not like it anywhere.
The floor is okay, but I LOOOOOVE the rest of that kitchen! The ceiling is fantastic.
I love the kitchen and think it would look better with just the dark color on the floor, but I'm not much of a fan of the faux bois look anyway.
I love it! It looks like SO much work though
